This curated showcase features a dynamic lineup of international artists and globally connected performers, giving attendees a rare chance to experience how bluegrass is interpreted and celebrated across cultures.
From touring musicians and cultural ambassadors to rising voices from overseas, each performance highlights the global reach and evolving spirit of the genre.
When You Can Attend
- Conference attendees can enjoy International Stage performances Wednesday and Thursday
- Public festival performances take place Friday and Saturday
Whether you want to discover new artists, make international connections, or simply enjoy world-class music, the International Stage is your gateway to bluegrass around the globe.
Artist Applications
Interested in performing on the International Stage? The lineup is curated each year, with a limited number of performance opportunities available for qualifying artists.
International artists and globally connected acts attending the IBMA Business Conference are encouraged to apply. Eligible artists include:
- Foreign nationals living outside the United States
- Foreign nationals living and working in the United States.
- U.S. nationals with strong international connections such as working with the State Department as cultural ambassadors or having been on multiple overseas tours.
Performance Eligibility
- Foreign artists with P or O visas may perform Wednesday through Saturday
- Foreign artists without visas may perform during the conference portion Wednesday and Thursday only
International Stage applications will open in Spring 2026.
